UPSC (2017): Civil Service Exam tips and strategy

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had announced the result of the prestigious Civil Service prelims that was conducted on June 18, 2017 (Sunday). The Commission had declared the results on July 27 on its official website. Now those who cleared the prelims will move on for the Main exam that will, as per the official notification, be conducted on October 28, 2017 (Saturday). The Main exam will require the candidates to fill in a detailed application form online and submit the same online. It is to be noted that the online application form will be available on the website of the Commission from August 17 to August 31, 2017 till 6pm. Candidates must note down these dates. The Civil Service exam happens annually for filling numerous vacancies in the Central government department. Roughly 980 vacancies are said to be filled through the exam this year. Therefore a lot of candidates take up the exam and the best of them make it to the finals like Darwin said: survival of the fittest. Samsung rolls out 'Made in India' privacy app for Galaxy A71, Galaxy A51

  Smartphone maker  Samsung  on Monday said it has rolled out privacy app AltZLife developed at its India R&D centre on select handsets in the country. The app allows users of the Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51  smartphones  to quickly switch to privacy mode from normal mode by double-clicking the power button and also automatically save images and videos in private folders based on the usage pattern. "The AltZLife feature will be available to the existing as well as new users of Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 through a software update on August 10, 2020,"  Samsung  said in a statement. Truecaller version 12 with new features for Android users launched

  Swedish caller identification app  Truecaller  on Thursday rolled out its latest version 12 with a new Video Caller ID feature addition, call recording for free users, and a redesigned user interface (UI). A total of five features have been announced as part of the  Truecaller  Version 12 update. " Truecaller  is a vital part of communication for over 22 crore Indians, for both their professional and personal needs.
