OnePlus Nord name confirmed for OnePlus' upcoming affordable smartphone



OnePlus Nord is the official name of OnePlus’ upcoming affordable smartphone. The smartphone would mark the Chinese smartphone maker’s return to midrange segment, and India and Europe would be the first countries to get it. OnePlus said that the Nord product line follows the company's new global business strategy, which includes introducing new products at more affordable price segments.

The new product line is touted to have been designed on the basis of the feedback that OnePlus received from its user’s community, who have shown a strong desire for a more affordable smartphone that incorporates OnePlus' flagship-level product and user experience standards.

"Launching the OnePlus Nord product line marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for OnePlus. The 'Never Settle' spirit is centered around sharing the best technology and products with the world, but it is also about challenging ourselves and going beyond our comfort zone," Pete Lau, Founder and CEO of OnePlus, said in a statement.

Samsung rolls out 'Made in India' privacy app for Galaxy A71, Galaxy A51

  Smartphone maker  Samsung  on Monday said it has rolled out privacy app AltZLife developed at its India R&D centre on select handsets in the country. The app allows users of the Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51  smartphones  to quickly switch to privacy mode from normal mode by double-clicking the power button and also automatically save images and videos in private folders based on the usage pattern. "The AltZLife feature will be available to the existing as well as new users of Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 through a software update on August 10, 2020,"  Samsung  said in a statement. Truecaller version 12 with new features for Android users launched

  Swedish caller identification app  Truecaller  on Thursday rolled out its latest version 12 with a new Video Caller ID feature addition, call recording for free users, and a redesigned user interface (UI). A total of five features have been announced as part of the  Truecaller  Version 12 update.
