Google Photos app gets new image editor with granular controls: How to use


 

Google Photos app for Android now features a new image editor, with machine learning (ML) based smart suggestion for auto image enhancement and easy-to-use granular adjustments for manual image editing. The smart suggestion feature enhances the image by automatically tuning the settings best suited for the image. It is a ML-based service, which tinkers with image’s brightness, contrast and other settings for optimal output. For manual adjustments, there is now a new editor with granular controls for settings like brightness, contrast, cropping tools, filters, and much more.

How to use Google Photos app to edit images:

Step 1: Update the Google Photos app from Google Play Store

Step 2: Open the Google Photos app

Step 3: Tap on the image you would like to edit

Step 4: Tap on the settings icon available on the lower side of the screen

Samsung rolls out 'Made in India' privacy app for Galaxy A71, Galaxy A51

  Smartphone maker  Samsung  on Monday said it has rolled out privacy app AltZLife developed at its India R&D centre on select handsets in the country. The app allows users of the Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51  smartphones  to quickly switch to privacy mode from normal mode by double-clicking the power button and also automatically save images and videos in private folders based on the usage pattern. "The AltZLife feature will be available to the existing as well as new users of Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 through a software update on August 10, 2020,"  Samsung  said in a statement.   Swedish caller identification app  Truecaller  on Thursday rolled out its latest version 12 with a new Video Caller ID feature addition, call recording for free users, and a redesigned user interface (UI). A total of five features have been announced as part of the  Truecaller  Version 12 update.
