Record 87.9 million mobile phones shipped to India in Oct-Dec: CMR

Indian market saw a record cell phone shipment of 87.9 million units in October-December 2017, says a CyberMedia Research report.

"Portable handset sellers dispatched 88 million versatile handset units in the final quarter of 2017. For the whole year, portable handset sellers have sent around 287 million versatile handset units in India," the CMR report said.

The assessments by the exploration firm demonstrate that Samsung remained the general pioneer for 2017 with 21 for every penny piece of the overall industry, trailed by iTel and Xiaomi with 9 for every penny piece of the overall industry each.

Amid the quarter, Reliance Jio's LYF finished in the element telephone section with 27 for every penny share.

It was trailed by Samsung with 14 for each penny share, Micromax 9 for each penny, iTel 8 for every penny and Lava 6 for each penny share.

Xiaomi drove the cell phone fragment with 25 for every penny share. It was trailed by Samsung with 21 for every penny share, Lenovo 9 for every penny, Vivo and Oppo 6 for each penny each.

In the superior portion, valued between Rs 26,000 to Rs 50,000 a unit, Apple drove showcase with 48 for each penny share, trailed by OnePlus with 23 for each penny and Samsung with 10 for every penny share, according to the report.
