Lava Mobiles to launch 'Made in India' smartphones at 12 noon: Details here

 

Lava Mobiles is set to launch a range of Made in India smartphones on Thursday. The home-grown mobile phone maker is hosting a virtual event at 12 noon on January 7. The event will livestream on the company’s YouTube channel and Facebook page. Today’s launch will mark the return of Lava Mobiles to smartphone business, which is currently dominated by Chinese players such as Xiaomi, OPPO, Realme, Vivo, etc.

Recently, Lava Mobiles released a video on its Twitter handle where the company’s president and business head Sunil Raina had invited people to the virtual launch event, promising things that never happened in the smartphone industry before.

“Never before has smartphone engineering been so evolved and dynamic, thanks to our talented engineers. Tune in to Lava’s YouTube page for the live telecast of history in the making.

I promise what follows is sure to make you feel proudly Indian,” said Raina in the video posted on Lava Mobiles official Twitter handle.

Samsung rolls out 'Made in India' privacy app for Galaxy A71, Galaxy A51

  Smartphone maker  Samsung  on Monday said it has rolled out privacy app AltZLife developed at its India R&D centre on select handsets in the country. The app allows users of the Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51  smartphones  to quickly switch to privacy mode from normal mode by double-clicking the power button and also automatically save images and videos in private folders based on the usage pattern. "The AltZLife feature will be available to the existing as well as new users of Galaxy A71 and Galaxy A51 through a software update on August 10, 2020,"  Samsung  said in a statement.   Swedish caller identification app  Truecaller  on Thursday rolled out its latest version 12 with a new Video Caller ID feature addition, call recording for free users, and a redesigned user interface (UI). A total of five features have been announced as part of the  Truecaller  Version 12 update.
