AAI to recruit 105 junior assistants in fire services
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has released a notice regarding the recruitment of junior assistants in fire services. Interested candidates can apply online at the AAI’s official website http://www.aai.aero by July 19, 2017.
Eligibility criteria
Candidate should have passed class 10 exams and also possess 3 years' approved regular diploma in mechanical/ automobile/ fire with minimum 50% marks. Those who have cleared their class 12 (regular study) with 50% marks can also apply. The age limit for candidates as on March 31 2017 is not less than 18 and not more than 30 years. Age relaxation as per government rule is applicable. Length of service extended by 3 years for ex-servicemen.
Additional weightage shall be given to a candidate possessing computer science as subject at 12th class level, NCC 'B' certificate, or relevant experience in an aviation/regular/industrial fire service, or basic fire fighting training course from AAI fire training establishment, or sub fire officer course from National Fire Service College, Nagpur.
Candidate should have valid heavy vehicle driving license, or valid medium vehicle license issued, or valid LMV license issued before March 31, 2016. In case candidates do not have heavy vehicle driving license, on qualifying the written test the candidate will need to produce a valid heavy vehicle driving license at the time of driving test. In case, the candidate fails to do so then he shall not be allowed to take driving test and be straightway disqualified for the further selection procedure.
Physical deformity, chronic diseases, colour blindness, night blindness, squint eye, flat foot, bow legs, knocking knee and refractive error will be considered as disqualification. Candidates must not have undergone major operation by virtue of which his physical fitness to work in fire service has been impaired and should be capable of undergoing physical strain for prolonged periods.
