New WhatsApp application on cards for iPad users

Facebook -owned messaging service WhatsApp may be working on an app for iPad users as references of WhatsApp for iPad are spotted on latest WhatsApp desktop app. According to a tweet from popular WhatsApp change tracking website WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is gearing up for a dedicated application for iPad. "Great news for all WhatsApp users having an iPad device. Our rumour about a WhatsApp for iPad app was real (real like our other rumours as WhatsApp Business and the Facebook infrastructure)," WABetaInfo tweeted. WABetaInfo also stated on Twitter the WhatsApp Desktop 0.2.6968 app references for an iPad application. Google Tez gets 410,000 active users with transactions worth Rs 1.8 cr

Google says its new payments app for India, Tez, garnered 410,000 active users who made transactions worth Rs 1.8 crore in the first 20 hours of the app being launched. Tez was one of the most anticipated apps of the year, marking the entry of Google in India's fast-growing digital payments space. The unprecedented traffic the service encountered led to a temporary delay in allowing new users to sign up. "We are really happy with the numbers. I wish we hadn't had some of the ups and downs we had yesterday, but still, we're very happy with the first few hours of engagement. We're working on a number of different user experience features in the coming months," said Caesar Sengupta, Vice President of Product Management at Google. Come June, all your train travel-related queries will be answered through one mega application, likely to be named HindRail. This mega app will incorporate in it most of the existing features of other railwa apps. The  Indian Railways  is developing this new app to work as a full-fledged inquiry system for providing information on arrivals, departures, delays, cancellations, platform number, running status and berth availability. Besides, it will also offer services like booking of taxis, porters, retiring rooms, hotels, tour packages, e-catering and other travel-related needs. The Railways will offer all these services on a revenue-sharing model with the service providers. The app, which will serve as a revenue-earning platform for the public transporter, is expected to have a business potential of Rs 100 crore a year.
