Salman Khan starrer 'Bharat' enters Rs. 50 crore club on Day 2

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer 'Bharat' is managing to hold a strong position at the box office. The film, which created history as Salman's highest opener ever, has now achieved another feat by crossing the Rs. 50 crore mark in just two days of its run. The film has managed to rack in Rs. 73.30 crore in just two days. Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office collection of the film on his Twitter handle. Adarsh noted that multiplexes saw a normal decline, while the film's evening and night shows witnessed a high occupancy, especially in single screen cinemas. The film saw a bumper opening and minted Rs. 42.30 crore on its first day. The numbers showed a slight dip owing to a working weekday. Salman unveils first look of 'Bharat'

Business Standard : Bollywood actor Salman Khan has upped the curiosity of his fans with the first look from his upcoming film 'Bharat'. The 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' star posted a still from the film on his Instagram account. In the picture, Salman and his leading lady Katrina Kaif are seen standing at the Wagah Border. Previously, the duo was seen seen in action movies like 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Tiger Zinda Hai' where they played spies from India and Pakistan. ' Bharat ' is also director Ali Zafar's third collaboration with Salman after the 2016 film 'Sultan' and 2017's 'Tiger Zinda Hai'. Katrina heads to Malta for 'Bharat'

Bollywood star Katrina Kaif has kick-started her 'Bharat' journey as the actress headed to Malta for shooting today. While the film went on floors earlier last month, the 35-year-old begins her first schedule now. The 'Dhoom 3' star will join Salman Khan , who started shooting for his second schedule of the film in the European island country last week. The actress posted an Instagram story announcing her departure for Malta. After Priyanka Chopra walked out of the film, Katrina was roped in to play the lead, opposite the 'Dabangg' star. The film also stars Tabu and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. 'Bharat' is set to have a character-driven story spanning across many periods and will be shot across exotic locations in Malta and Abu Dhabi, besides Punjab and Delhi in India. Disha Patani to feature in Salman Khan starrer 'Bharat'

Actress Disha Patani will be seen in the upcoming Salman Khan -starrer "Bharat" that is slated for an Eid release in 2019. The film's director Ali Abbas Zafar made the announcement on Thursday on Twitter. He shared a photograph of Disha, welcoming her on board. "Welcome Dish Patani to the journey of 'Bharat'. Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra," Zafar captioned the image. This will be Zafar's third outing with Salman, with whom he has worked in blockbusters "Sultan" and "Tiger Zinda Hai". Priyanka will be teaming up with Salman on the big screen after a gap of 11 years, after their last appearance in "God Tussi Great Ho" in 2008. "Bharat" is an official adaptation of a 2014 South Korean film "Ode to My Father". It is produced by Atul Agnihotri's Reel Life Production Pvt Ltd and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series.

Salman's co-star seeks his help for TB treatment

Superstar Salman Khan 's 'Veergati' co-star Pooja Dadwal, who is reportedly battling with Tuberculosis, has reached out to the actor for financial aid. Pooja sought 'Sultan' star's help in a video where she said she has no money for her treatment. "Salman sir, today, I am at that point in my life when I really need your help. Some of my friends have helped me come out from the well of death. Neither do I have money for my treatment, nor do I have someone to support me," Pooja said. "I don't expect any money from you sir, but I want my treatment to be done. I want to live again. I hope, seeing my present condition, you will stand by me," she added. Pooja Dadwal was seen with Salman Khan in the 1995 flick 'Veergati'. She later starred in movies like 'Hindustan', 'Inteqaam' and 'Dabdaba'.

'Kick 2' to hit screens on Christmas 2019

The makers of upcoming film "Kick 2" starring superstar Salman Khan have locked Christmas 2019 for the release. The official account of the production company Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment on Wednesday announced the release date of the second installment of the "Kick" franchise on Twitter. "The wait is over! Devil is back! Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Kick 2' starring Salman Khan releases Christmas 2019," the tweet read. Other details of the film is still under wraps. "Kick", which starred Salman, Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Jacqueline Fenandez released in 2014. It was directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. The movie was an official remake of the 2009 Telugu movie "Kick" and Tamil movie "Thillalangadi".
