Addressing the Indian community settled in Denmark during his visit to the Nordic nation, Modi also asked each one of them to convince at least their five non-Indian friends to visit India. Four top Kannada actors, 3 producers raided by IT officials in Bengaluru

Business Standard : The Income Tax (I-T) department Thursday carried out raids on the residences of four top Kannada film actors and three leading producers in a simultaneous state-wide exercise, officials said. Actors Shivarajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar, sons of Kannada thespian late Rajkumar, and Yash and Sudeep came under the I-T lens, officials told PTI, as the bigwigs of the state film industry woke up to the knocks of Income Tax officials on their doors. The raids were carried out across 23 locations in the state and involved around 200 sleuths, they said. 'Rockline' Venkatesh, C R Manohar and Vijay Kiraganduru are the film producers whose residences were raided, the officials said. Google launches voice maps in six Indic languages, to add new users

Concerned about government regulations over privacy rules affecting growth in India, Google said on Tuesday that the ecosystem of location-based services was still evolving globally. As part of the internet giant’s “Next Billion User” initiative, it has customised its voice navigation in India, which will include six indic languages — Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam — apart from Hindi. The company has launched a host of features in its already available services. The move will add a new set of users in tier-III cities as well as in the rest of the Indian market.
