The film, which created history as Salman's highest opener ever, has now achieved another feat by crossing the Rs. 50 crore mark in just two days of its run. The film has managed to rack in Rs. 73.30 crore in just two days. Indian film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the box office collection of the film on his Twitter handle. Adarsh noted that multiplexes saw a normal decline, while the film's evening and night shows witnessed a high occupancy, especially in single screen cinemas. The Shri Rajput Karni Sena on Wednesday called for a ' Bharat Bandh ' (shutdown) on December 1 if Sanjay Leela Bhansali's movie " Padmavati " releases on that date, while the Maharashtra government provided a precautionary security cover for the filmmaker in view of the increasing controversies and growing threats. "We will hold rallies across the country, including Gurugram, Patna, Lucknow and Bhopal before the release date," Lokendra Singh Kalvi, founder-patron of the Shri Rajput Karni Sena, an organisation of the Rajput community, told media persons in Jaipur. Continuing the tradition of releasing his films on the festive occasion of Eid, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has blocked the auspicious date for his 2019 release. Titled 'Bharat', the film is an official adaptation of 2014 South Korean film, 'Ode to My Father,' which depicted modern Korean history from the 1950s to the present day through the life of an ordinary man. It traces the journey of a man that starts in 1947 and ends it in 2002. Producer Atul Agnihotri says, "It's the journey of a country and also a person, both of whom go by the name of Bharat."
