OnePlus Nord name confirmed for OnePlus' upcoming affordable smartphone

OnePlus  Nord is the official name of OnePlus’ upcoming affordable smartphone. The smartphone would mark the Chinese smartphone maker’s return to midrange segment, and India and Europe would be the first countries to get it.  OnePlus  said that the Nord product line follows the company's new global business strategy, which includes introducing new products at more affordable price segments. The new product line is touted to have been designed on the basis of the feedback that  OnePlus  received from its user’s community, who have shown a strong desire for a more affordable smartphone that incorporates OnePlus' flagship-level product and user experience standards. OnePlus to unveil India-centric, affordable smart television on July 2

OnePlus  is set to unveil its second-generation smart television on July 2. Touted to offer premium smart TV experience at accessible price, the India-centric launch announcement was made by company’s CEO and co-founder Pete Lau on Twitter. “It's official. We're making our premium smart TV experience more accessible to our Indian community. #SmarterTV” wrote Lau in a tweet. In retrospective,  OnePlus  forayed in to the smart television category with the launch of premium QLED smart televisions. Based on Google Android platform, the first breed of  OnePlus  smart TV had customised user interface for improved user experience. It also featured voice-enabled remote control with support for Alexa and Google Assistant. China's OnePlus set to unveil a new logo in black on March 18: Report

Chinese electronics maker OnePlus took to its official Weibo account to tease something new which is coming on March 18 and now CEO Pete Lau has shared that it will be the unveiling of a new brand logo. On the first look, the new logo is almost identical to the original one, but this time the company is changing the brand's colour from Red to Black which is evident from the new logo that now has Black colour, 9To5Google reported on Monday. Also, the typeface for the number "1" has also been changed and now the company is also adding its "OnePlus" branding below the logo. This new logo will be the one OnePlus uses on its 2020 products such as the upcoming OnePlus 8 series. OnePlus 6 Red edition announced at Rs 39,999; sale starts from July 16

Chinese smartphone manufacturer  OnePlus  on June 2 introduced the OnePlus 6 red colour edition. Although, the phone comes in three RAM and storage configurations – 6GB/64GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB – the red edition will be available only in 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage configuration. Priced at Rs 39,999, the phone will go on sale at Amazon India from July 16. “ We believe power and attitude can be both elegant and humble, and we have strived to achieve this with the OnePlus 6 Red Edition. We worked to avoid an overly bright red colour, while still capturing a sense of self-confidence and positivity. Achieving the amber-like effect took several months to refine and perfect,” said OnePlus CEO Pete Lau in a statement. The OnePlus 6 sports a 6.28-inch 19:9 aspect ratio notch-based screen. OnePlus 6 water-resistant feature confirmed; CEO shares camera samples, too

Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is gearing up to unveil the fifth iteration of its flagship smartphone. Touted as the OnePlus 6, the smartphone would bear an ingress protection (IP) rating, which would make it the first OnePlus device to sport water resistance capabilities. While the water resistance or exact IP rating has not been officially confirmed, the company has uploaded a promo teaser on Twitter, which reads “Don’t you just hate it when you have to stop using your phone when it rains? So do we”, confirming that the upcoming flagship would feature some sort of water resistance. In another event, the company’s CEO Pete Lau shared half a dozen of pictures captured using the OnePlus 6 on Chinese social media platform Weibo. The images were taken in broad daylight conditions and, therefore, show lots of details.
