The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhubaneswar has decided to conduct end-semester exams for outgoing students through the online mode to ensure their timely graduation. The prestigious institution said that "two alternative examinations are scheduled, one from June 24 and another during the end of July or first week of August." It further said that in case the pandemic situation normalises by the end of July or the first week of August, the students can come to the IIT campus to appear for the second examination. CBSE exam 2020:  The Central Board of Secondary  Education  (CBSE) on Wednesday said it was considering sticking to the earlier plan and conducting CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th board exams for main subjects only after analysing the situation when the  coronavirus  lockdown  would end on May 3. The statement came amid speculation over the date of the remaining  CBSE board exams. CBSE tweeted, "Recently, there has been a lot of speculation regarding 10th  CBSE Board exams.  It is reiterated that the board's decision to hold board exams for 29 subjects of class 10 and 12, stands the same as mentioned in circular dated April 1, 2020." CBSE Compartment Exam 2019 : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official circular for CBSE Class 10 and 12 compartment examinations. The students who could not clear their Class 10 and Class 12 CBSE board examinations in the first attempt, stand a chance to appear again in the papers through the CBSE compartment examinations. According to the board's official circular, the CBSE compartment examinations 2019 are scheduled to be held on July 2, 2019 at 4,974 centres across India. Students who appeared in the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 exams and are placed in the 'compartments' category, can again clear the CBSE board papers to save their year. Performance of Delhi government-run schools in the CBSE Class 10 examination, results of which were announced Monday, has improved by 2.68 percentage points this year, an official said. According to the data, the total pass percentage in schools run by the Delhi Government in the CBSE Class 10 examination stands at 71.58 per cent, he said. This year, 1,66,167 students from schools run by the Directorate of Education had appeared in the board exam, 29,504 more than last year, the official said. The number of students who passed is 1,18,936, which is 24,776 more than the last year, he added. CBSE 12th result 2019: In a surprise move, Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday declared CBSE 12th result 2019. CBSE released Class 12 result 2019 on its official website cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in. 83.4 per cent students passed CBSE 12th exams this year. This year, Hansika Shukla and Karishma Arora topped the CBSE Class 12 exams by scoring 499 marks each out of 500. In total, 12,87,359 had appeared for CBSE class 12th exam. "Girls have a pass percentage of 88.70 which is 9 percentage points more than that of boys' 79.40 per cent. Transgenders have a pass percentage of 83.3 per cent," a senior board officials said. Soon after the human resource development ministry announced the handing over of competitive exams like JEE, NEET to the National Testing Agency (NTA), a new set of rules have been prepared and are ready to roll from next year. The NTA now mandates competitive exams to be all computerised, meaning which, the examinations will rely heavily on technological tools like Artificial Intelligence, Psychometric analysis and Computer-based adaptive testing. With this, each candidate will now get a unique set of questions, with the software picking questions randomly for candidates.
