Rana off to Kerala for 'Haathi Mere Saathi'

Budget 2019 : Actor Rana Daggubati has jetted off to the " jungles of Kerala " for the shoot of his upcoming film "Haathi Mere Saathi". Rana on Tuesday tweeted: "Morning... Off into the jungles of Kerala for filming 'Haathi Mere Saathi'." " Haathi Mere Saathi " is an animal drama also featuring Pulkit Samrat, Vishnu Vishal, Zoya Hussein and Kalki Koechlin. The Eros International's movie is titled "Kaadan" in Tamil and "Aranya" in Telugu. Helmed by Prabhu Solomon, the trilingual is being shot simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil with a different cast across languages. The movie highlights man-animal relationship is a story inspired by true events and a tribute to 1971 classic film "Haathi Mere Saathi" -- starring Rajesh Khanna and Tanuja. Actor Rana Daggubati says he falls in a category of neutral actors, and has always believed in getting involved in content with no regional barriers. "I interestingly fall under a category of neutral actors and filmmakers who have been constantly involved in content with no regional barriers," Rana told IANS. "'Baahubali' was really the film that broke most barriers of what regional cinema can do nationally. I hope that more films like these are made, and can make the impact that 'Baahubali' was able to," added the actor, who is pushing content of all type with his Kwan South, a joint venture with Kwan Entertainment. Rana Daggubati joins 'Avengers: Infinity War' universe

Actor Rana Daggubati has lent his voice to the character of Thanos for the Telugu version of Hollywood film "Avengers: Infinity War". Marvel Studios' "Avengers: Infinity War", which features an ensemble of superheroes, will release worldwide on April 27. Disney India, in a move to expand its localisation efforts, has signed on Rana to lend his voice for the villainous character. "I've grown up reading Marvel Comics and Marvel movies with their intricately woven storylines. It is fascinating to see how Marvel has created characters and stories that resonate so well with audiences across the globe, making movies at a scale that one had never before imagined," Rana said in a statement.
