Samsung Galaxy Note 20 may have a smaller price tag than the Note 10

South Korean tech giant  Samsung  is all set to host a virtual event on August 5 to launch the new Galaxy Note 20 series, and a new report suggests it will be priced lower than the Galaxy Note 10 devices. The smartphone manufacturer is said to launch the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra at a lower price this year due to the reduction in smartphone demand and sales because of Covid-19, reports South Korean publication Naver. The Galaxy Note 10 was l aunched at Rs 78,300 while its successor Note 20 may retail at nearly Rs 75,200). However, this pricing is for the Korean market and currently, it is not clear if the same will be applied to the global markets as well. Apple revokes purchase limit restriction on iPhone, iPad outside China

Apple has lifted purchase limits on its phones, tablets and laptops for customers outside China, the media reported. The company last week imposed a purchase limits across several of its products, reports MacRumors. The new MacBook Air and Mac mini were limited to five orders per customer, the new iPad Pro was limited to two 11-inch models per customer and two 12.9-inch models per customer, and iPhones were limited to two of each model per customer. Meanwhile, some purchase limits have yet to be lifted in China. The restrictions were imposed to better manage the demand-supply ratio following a slowdown in production due to factory shutdowns in China. Business Standard : Chinese tech giant Alibaba has introduced a new smart screen for the visually impaired users to help them shop without much of an assistance. The smart screen is a result of the company's two years and $25 billion R&D initiative. As TechCrunch reports, the screen, called Smart Touch, is like a silicone layer which can be added to the top of a smartphone screen. Each film costs about 3.6 cents to produce. It has three mini buttons on each side which are sensory-enabled. By pressing these buttons, certain commands are triggered, such as 'go back' and 'confirm', making online shopping a smoother process. Smart Touch is also useful while answering calls, listening to texts, and so on. BS

Chinese handset maker Vivo on Wednesday refreshed its popular V series with the V9 Pro smartphone in India for Rs 19,990 . The device will be available at a special price of Rs 17,990 during Amazon India's "Great India Festival" next month.
