OnePlus 6T goes on sale: Here are first impressions, price, launch offers

1

Business Standard: Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus on October 30 launched the OnePlus 6T in India. This Amazon-exclusive smartphone will go on sale today (November 1) on the e-commerce platform. It will also be available for open sale at OnePlus online portal and select offline stores – OnePlus Stores, Croma and Reliance Digital – from November 3. The phone is priced at Rs 37,999, 41,999, and 45,999 for 6GB/128GB, 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB models, respectively.

Unlike the company's previous launches, the OnePlus 6T comes bundled with several launch offers. For those who pre-booked the smartphone on Amazon, the company is providing complementary OnePlus USB type-C Bullet earphones and Rs 500 instant cashback in the form of Amazon Pay balance. The phone comes bundled with Reliance Jio unlock-the-speed cashback offer, in which the Mukesh Ambani-owned telecom operator is offering up to 3TB of additional data and Rs 5,400 instant cashback in the form of 36 recharge vouchers of Rs 150 each. These could be redeemed on successive recharges of Rs 299 or more. The phone is also eligible for Rs 2,000 instant discount from ICICI Bank and Citibank.

The difference between the OnePlus 6T and its predecessor OnePlus 6 is subtle but interesting. Except for the battery, the phone’s specifications remain largely the same. However, there is now a bigger screen with a tiny waterdrop notch, in-display fingerprint sensor and a host of software-based features that make the phone an interesting upgrade over the OnePlus 6.
