8 Beauty Items You Need Not Buy
A survey conducted in 2017 by the American cosmetic internet store, SkinStore, found that the average woman uses about 16 cosmetic products every day. This fact isn't at all surprising, considering the variety of skincare and makeup items that cosmetic brands entice us to use. Consequently, this makes it hard to resist the temptation of buying more than we actually need. The list below will show you whether or not all cosmetic items are equally useful, from which you will discover that many items are not worth spending money on at all. Take a look:
1. Night cream
While not completely useless, because they often contain components like retinol, which don't work well in the daytime due to the influence of the sun's rays. But, dermatologists say that the cost of special night creams is highly overpriced, and if you take proper care of your skin throughout the day, they're not needed.
Both female and male shaving items are almost identical - they soften the hair and moisturize the skin to make shaving smoother. The only difference is the odor and the design of the packaging. So, if fragrance is not important to you, there is no need to buy special female shaving items, especially when men's costs less. You could also use a moisturizing shower gel or hair conditioner to soften your hair as well.
Blackheads appear because of the accumulation of bacteria and excess skin secretions at the base of the hair follicle on the skin. While you may think that pore strips help, they are only removing surface dirt and are traumatizing the skin by stripping away its protective layer. The strips don't get rid of the acne, so it is better to buy a good cleansing gel with salicylic acid instead. This way you don't damage the skin and you are still cleaning the dirt. Here's a tip: Use hot water to open the pores, clean with the gel, then use cold water to close the pores again to get the most out of the cleaning gel.
4. Neck cream
The skin around the neck is very thin and delicate and needs regular moisturizing. That said, you don't need a special cream for it. Rather, a regular cream for the face will be enough. For best results, be sure to apply it with smooth movements from the bottom up. Read Complete Article
